Relaxing the grid

Even in the UK, the electricity grid is under stress due to the use of unconventional power sources - and the general state of the network is not helping. Since implementing a »smart grid« is the commonly accepted way for energy providers of avoiding the enormous cost for renewing the mains by means of receiving funding for the installation of new electricity meters, this is what's happening in the Thames valley.
