RS Components has developed an Android application for its eTech magazine.
The new app complements the iPad app, currently available in English and Japanese language versions, which now includes the iOS 5 Newsstand feature for quick and easy access to the user’s magazine and newspaper subscriptions. New subscriptions to eTech through the iPad app will go directly to the user’s Newsstand folder and as new issues become available, Newsstand automatically updates them in the background.
Glenn Jarrett, Head of Electronics Marketing at RS, said, “As a global distribution specialist it is important that we provide our customers with fast, easy access to the huge array of products and technologies available to them, as well as offering news and views on market trends. The new Android eTech app, along with the iPad and online page-turner versions, increases their accessibility options, and takes the magazine to a much broader readership.”
