After a year off (wimp!) my old mate Chris McAneny, Director of Strategic Business Development at Future Electronics is taking on a new challenge.
In 2010 Chris climbed Mount Kilimanjaro for the EveryMan Male Cancer Charity. As anyone who has seen Chris's presentation on the climb, it was gruelling going, and it took some guts to overcome fatigue and altitude sickness. Make it he did, with generous sponsorship from IDT, as the picture here confirms.
Two years on, two years older - he's 53 now - and a proud grandfather of 9 weeks, Chris is running the London Marathon. That's the one in April, not the Olympics, he's not that good!
It will be his first marathon and he is already in training as he pounds the roads of Surrey. He completed his first three hour run just this pastweekend, though whether this was over a 100 yards or 26.2 miles he is not letting on.
Once more he is supporting the Everyman Male Cancer Charity, so hopefully the industry, whether that be distributors, suppliers, customers or indeed, the ever generous UK press corps (!) will come forward to sponsor our intrepid athlete.
