Powervation Signs ED-V Distribution Pact

ED-V Gesellschaft für Elektronik + Design In mbH and the Limerick, Ireland-based company Powervation have signed a distribution agreement covering Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Powervation makes digital power management controllers featuring real-time auto-compensation (Auto-control) for DC/DC conversion.

The digital power ICs from Powervation save 20 - 50 percent power at the system level. Powervation's patented Auto-control technology continuously compensates for load transients, changes in the output impedance and for silicon aging and degradation in components, guaranteeing power-supply stability for the life of the system. The technology also dramatically shortens design-time, reduces output components, and improves performance. Other unique features include Digital Stress Sharing (DSS) to eliminate hot spots in parallel connection, and fuse-based memory to eliminate long term reliability issues.
