Future Electronics and XMOS announced today that they have entered into a worldwide franchise distribution agreement.
“Future strives to partner with new companies that are on the leading edge of technology. XMOS certainly fits that description. The XMOS architecture makes it practical to use software to perform many functions that traditionally have been implemented in hardware. This simplifies design and reduces cost. We feel that our customers will find this technology very compelling,” commented Frantz Saintellemy, Corporate Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Future Electronics.
“XMOS processors combine the capabilities of processors, DSPs and FPGAs to allow innovative electronics products to be designed at exceptional speed,” said Terry Leeder, President and CEO of XMOS. “Future Electronics’ world class engineering support and global logistics make them an ideal partner for us, and will greatly accelerate our growth and extend our global reach.”
XMOS’ complete range of event-driven processors and development boards are in stock and ready to ship from Future Electronics. By adding XMOS processors to the mix of currently available solutions, Future Electronics’ customers will have more options to complete their designs in less time and at lower costs.
