Optoelectronic components specialist QT Corporation has signed a distribution agreement with Nu-Horizons.
According to Pete Perniciaro, vice president of sales, "This agreement will allow more customers to become familiar with QT Corporation products. Our combined focus will be to expand the use of ultra-high bightness LEDs in many different market segments, as well as provide world class IR and optocoupler products. With short lead times and inventory at Nu-Horizons for standard optocouplers, PLCC LED, mid and high power LEDs and IR components, we will be able to meet the production demands of optoelectronic product consumers."
QTC and Nu-Horizons will offer a broad LED, IR and optocoupler product line. The optocoupler products range from 4-pin SOP packages through to 8-pin DIP packages. Output functions are phototransistor, photoDarlington, Schmitt trigger, random phase TRIAC, and zero crossing TRIAC. All industry-standard part numbers are available. Optocouplers are widely used in power supplies, isolated communication paths, isolated power switching and safety protection for user controls in both industrial controls and consumer appliances.
