So a timely one day event titled "REACH Regulation - The Impact on Equipment Manufacturers and Downstream Chemical Users" is being organised by Cobham Technical Services.
This legislation impacts on the whole supply chain, producers, suppliers, importers and, yes, distributors. Cobham says that all concerned nee to be fully aware of the legal obligations and the technical and commercial risks that are arising as a result of REACH. Cobham descibes the event as a practical course the ail of which is to enable delegates to avoid costly disruption to the supply chain.
There will be seven presentations as well as an exercise in which delegates will identify possible uses of substances of very high concern (SVHCs) in their businesses, and summaty of key actions to round off the day.
Speakers will be Chris Robertson, head of reliability and failure analysis at Cobham Technical Services and Doug Leech, technical manager, Chemical Business Association.
