The agreement is also a nice complement with Nu Horizons embedded processor range which includes Atmel, Marvell and Xilinx.

Nu Horizons will now work with Microsoft to drive the Windows Embedded brand as the flagship of their offering to build market share in the embedded space."
The Windows Embedded product portfolio includes: Windows Embedded CE for small-footprint devices that require a componentised, real-time operating system; Windows Embedded Standard (the next generation of Windows® XP Embedded), a fully componentised version of which is scalable as low as 40MB with a bootable kernel; and Windows® Embedded POSReady (the next generation of Windows® Embedded Point of Service).
