Rutronik Eyes New Opto Opportunity

Rutronik is putting together a strong hand in the opetoelectronic components sector.

It has signed a pan-European agreement with Ledil, a specialist in secondary optics. Effective immediately, Rutronik will distribute the entire Ledil product portfolio of reflectors and lenses for visible and invisible LEDs. Rutronik has recently signed agreements with Intematix and Bright LED and expanded its cooperation with OSRAM Opto Semiconductors.

 

Ledil develops and manufactures reflectors and lenses for various LED types, for products from OSRAM Opto Semiconductors, Samsung LED, Intematix and Everlight. Close cooperation with the LED manufacturers allows the company to launch suitable secondary optics for new LEDs very quickly. Special requirements can be met with customer-specific solutions. All components have comparatively short delivery times because research and development as well as a part of the production are located in Finland. Rutronik and LEDIL focus on street lighting, indoor lighting and architectural lighting as their principal target markets, as secondary optics play a particularly important role for optimum light dispersion.
