Distributors are preparing for the Embedded World exhibition in Nuremberg next month (March 2-4), and the folks from Rutronik will head down the E50 autobahn with a brief to focus on energy efficiency.
Components and applications for smart metering, environmentally sound lighting concepts with LED technology as well as electric and hybrid drives. The alternative energies sector is covered by Rutronik subsidiary Rusol, a specialist in photovoltaic solutions. It supplies the necessary components, especially inverted rectifiers required in PV systems complemented by design-in support and technical advice by product and application specialists. Among the highlighted products will be
STMicroelectronics new system for grid-connected PV applications which achieves improvements in design, technology and manufacturing of PV Inverter, as well as cost reduction and high efficiency.
Visitors to the Rutronik stand will be able to see the 3kW PV system which consists of a high frequency isolated input power section performing DC/DC conversion and an inverter section capable of delivering sinusoidal current at 50Hz to the Grid. The system operates with input voltages in the range of 200 V to 400 V and is tied to the grid at 230Vrms, 50Hz, through an LCL filter. Other peculiar characteristics of the proposed converter are integration level, decoupled control of active and reactive power. Further, a fully digital control, including power management for grid-connected operation and MPPT (maximum power point tracking) algorithm, has been implemented on a STM32 Microcontroller.
Also on parade will be the Swissbit F-100 series CFast™ flash storage card focuses on entirely new areas of application in the embedded and industrial field. It combines the compact flash card form factor (36.4 (L) x 42.80 (W) x 3.6 (H) mm) with the advantages of a fast serial ATA interface.
