So what is LYNX? Before the suspense gets too much for you I can reveal it is a range of low-cost 50 Ohm coaxial attenuators covering the frequency range DC to 6GHz. The products which are manufactured the Far East, come with SMA or N-type connectors and offer power ratings from 2W to 100W. Apart from the 2W versions, all devices in the range incorporate cooling fins to provide optimum heat dissipation. The attenuators are aimed at applications in communications and radar systems. VSWRs are as low as 1.1:1 and a typical operating temperature range of -30°C to 65°C.
