Densitron Display Solutions has signed to distribute the Seiko Instruments range of industrial grade TFT displays in the
Densitron will aim to enhance the value of Seiko’s TFT offerings through its display technical expertise and engineering design solutions service which offers options on integrating standard or custom display modules with PCB, plastics, keypads and/ or touch overlays.
The transmissive TFT displays come in 2.4in, 2.8in, 3.5in, 4.3in and 7.0in, and have long-term availability guarantee. Seiko’s patented Fringe Field Switching (FFS) cell structure technology is utilised in most of the displays to create an extended viewing angle of up to 170° in both horizontal and vertical directions. The modules also offer a very good contrast ratio and excellent sunlight readability through the use of highly energy efficient, ultra bright backlights of 450 cd/sqm.
Resistive touch versions are available for all TFT modules in the range. With the touch layer measuring only 3.3mm in thickness, the resistive touch displays will be suitable for the design of portable applications.
