Avnet Wins AMD Global Plaudits

Avnet Technology Solutions has been named AMD's top-performing global distributor during the recent AMD Executive Forum 2009, held in Austin, Texas.

AMD selected Avnet for this honor based on its ability to expand AMD's market presence and revenues globally. AMD also awarded Avnet three regional distinctions, naming Avnet as distributor of the year in ANZ, EMEA and North America.

Avnet has been partnering AMD in the channel for more than 35 years and has consistently been recognised as one of its top distributor partners. The distributor uses a solutions-based approach to selling AMD Opteron processors for white box servers, embedded applications and workstations, and AMD Athlon II and Phenom II processors for OEM and white box desktops.
