Avnet Embedded, Cinterion Go Forth In France

Avnet Embedded has expanded its distribution agreement with Cinterion Wireless Modules, the supplier of wireless machine-to-machine (M2M) communication modules into France.

Building upon a successful twelve year partnership with UK-based TDC, now a part of Avnet Embedded, the companies have agreed to distribute the full range of Cinterion modules in France via Axess Technology, now also a part of Avnet Embedded.

A recent study by Gartner published in July 2009 ranked Cinterion as the world leader in its field with a market share of 33 percent for CDMA and GSM technologies combined. Cinterion’s products are utilised around the world in various vertical market applications including automotive, metering, e-health, e-payment, industrial computing, remote maintenance and control environmental monitoring and more.
