Rutronik's strength in wireless technology has paid off with the extension of an existing agreement to the UK and Ireland.
The deal, is with Fastrax, a Rutronik franchise in Germany, France, Austria, the Nterhlands, Switzerland, eastern Europe and Belgium.
Fastrax products include GPS software development kits, GPS modules and programmable GPS receivers. The products are used in industrial goods tracking systems and small battery devices including mobile phones.
Behind Rutronik's success is the establishment of a Wireless Development Centre. The centre is staffed by field applications engineers and product managers who can offer comprehensive technical support as well as design-in expertise. Lars Mistander (pictured), area manager of the Wireless Development Centre says that there are 40 wireless exports providing support and on-site advisory services. The company also stages annual radio technology seminars on relevant topics.
"Fastrax has successfully cooperated with Rutronik for four years," said Pasi Alajoki, sales director for EMEA at Fastrax. "The competence and added value that Rutronik wireless team offers their customers is impressive. Therefore it was a natural step for Fastrax to extend the partnership to the UK and Ireland."
"Our expectations for the cooperation and the quality of the work are on the same high standards as throughout the Rutronik territories in Europe," he added.
Lars Mistander reckons that Rutronik has positioned itself as a leading distributor in the wireless segment. "For this reason a wide product portfolio is of particular importance to us, and we are glad we can offer our customers in the UK and Ireland an even wider range of wireless components," he commented.
