Smiles (nearly) all round: Folks from Avnet EM EMEA and Enics pause for a lensmeister to record the distributor's acceptance of Enics' Distribution Partner of the Year award. All the Avnet EM companies - EBV Elektronik, Avnet Silica, Avnet Memec and Avnet Abacus - have mucked in to contribute to Enics' successful expansion and manufacturing strategy and earn this recognition.
Rejo Itkonen, president and chief executive officer of Enics praised Avnet. "We have worked closely with Avnet and its business units for many years, and the company's global footprint has helped us a lot in driving our own expansion. At the same time the local support in EMEA, which is in close proximity to our manufacturing locations, has been excellent and supported our local sourcing and manufacturing strategy. " Sharon Kielty-White, Avnet EMEA's corporate account manager for Enics was thanked by Itkonen for her work in coordinating the Avnet efforts across Europe.
Harold Feather, director corporate account management for Avnet EM EMEA commented, "Avnet has been partnering with Enics over the past two years to develop a global supply chain that allows the quality and flexibility necessary in today's fast-moving global environment. We are very pleased that Enics regards our supply chain expertise as complementary to their expansion plans."
The award was presented at Enics' Success Through Innovation '09 Fair in Helsinki.
