Farnell has strengthened its passive components hand through agreements with two leading suppliers and will get first dibs at some of the products under an exclusive twelve months exclusivity deal.
AVX is the company which has given Farnell first go at selling five of its newest capacitor ranges, covering 270 part numbers. Among the devices the distributor will take to market are the ARSkycap series, RH leaded ceramics, TRJ tantalum chip capacitorss, NVP Corecap surface mount multinode capacitors and TAW tantalum fuse capacitors.
The second agreement sees Rubycon choose Farnell to be its exclusive launch partner for the PMLCAP series of polymer film chip capacitors. According to Rubycon, this range uses new technology which helps achieve compactness as well as excellent frequency and temperature characteristics. Applications include DC/DC converters, audio circuits voltage regulator modules and bypass circuits.
Said Claire Doyle, Farnell's European director of supplier management, "In selecting Farnell, AVX and Rubycon have recognised our strong technical competence that helps us support the introduction of the newest component developments to our electronic design engineer customer base."
