Rutronik has obviously been doing something right for semiconductor giant ST Microelectronics in Europe.
The two companies have just added north Europe to their existing pan-European distribution agreement. Rutronik will now be competing with the rest of STMicro's network in the UK, Ireland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia.
"Thanks to our cooperation with ST, we can now tap into new markets and further strengthen our pan-European sales network," said Wolfgang Sayer (pictured), ST line manager at Rutronik. "Thanks to its broad product range STMicroelectronics provides a perfect complement to our product portfolio. In the next few years we want to increase our activities in the field of design in with cooperation from ST to enable us to grow business together."
Added Loic Toubin, key account manager at STMicroelectronics, "The long and successful cooperation made expansion of the contract with Rutronik into an important part of our growth strategy in Europe. The main factor that we appreciate about Rutronik is the local support for customers by experienced sales and applications teams with very good product and market knowledge as well as the outstanding delivery performance from customised warehousing."
The two companies already have agreements covering Germany, Benelux, Austria, Switzerland in central Europe, France and Italy as well as Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Romania and Russia in eastern Europe.
