Avnet Memec has extended its distribution agreement with White Electronic Designs Corporation (WEDC), which supplies semiconductor memory products supporting the military and aerospace markets. The existing partnership will be expanded to the markets of Italy, France, Nordic, Germany, Switzerland and Turkey.
Avnet Memec received the WEDC distributorship in the UK and Ireland when it acquired Azzurri Electronics last year. WEDChas been impressed by the strength of Avnet Memec's performance in those markets, it has signed with the company to extend the relationship to other European countries.
WEDC provides microelectronic and semiconductor packaging for mission-critical defense and aerospace applications requiring extended environment, high-reliability, high-density products. These include applications such as net-centric operations, missiles and ordnance, aircraft, ground, amphibious and marine vetronics, and spacecraft and satellites.
