I can think of worse ways to spend £200 or $285 or 225 Euro (exchange rates as of March 2) than the new ERA (Electrical Research Association) guide to RoHS.
It's the sixth edition, so its fair to say there is an awful lot of experience packed into its 180-plus pages. Like all European Union regulations RoHS has been subject to change. so there are updates listing the latest developments and changes in this new edition of the guide. These include the European Union's far-reaching and extensive proposals to amend the EU RoHS directive, details of the recently completed review of extensions, a summary of US state and federal legislation, and new legislation in Korea. Sections on compliance approaches, standards and lead-free soldering have all also been updated with the latest developments.
And just in case you missed it, ERA also published the fourth edition of its guide covering EU REACH compliance and hazardous substances restriction.
