Latest move in this burgeoning and bustling market place has been made by Arrow Electronics. It has signed up optic specialist Fraen in the UK and north Europe. Fraen makes optical components engineered and designed for individual LEDs with features such as high efficiency TIR and reflector solutions, software optimised aspheric profile, multiple beam angles, optimised lens holders and a complete range of lenses and reflectors.
According to Arrow the benefits include new flat-top geometry which allows for a wider range of beam-shaping options and reflectors which use faceted-structure technology providing colour mixing and uniformity.Custom options are also available. Application markets include commercial, transportation, flashlights, signage and backlighting
