No stopping Arrow this morning. Another announcement has the company establishing a new sales division in the UK.
It has launchedArrow Advantage, a unit specifically established to serve the needs of purchasers and design engineers in start up organisations, companies in early stages of development and other small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs).
Customers of the new channel will be able to access al Arrow's services including the 240,000 on-board and off-board components and platform-level technologies available from Arrow's 196 suppliers.
The launch will be supported with a dedicated Arrow Advantage catalogue designed to simplify the identification, selection and ordering of components and products. More pertinently for these customers Arrow will offer low-volume ordering at what the company calls "competitive pricing", and ex-stock, forward and scheduled ordering options. The new unit will also offer managed stock services and discounted contract pricing terms.
Arrow Advantage sales director is Mark Shearer (pictured). He says, "The electronics landscape in the UK is made up of a large number of geographically spread small- to medium-sized design houses and OEMs. Arrow Advantage provides a channel in the market for these OEMs by providing at a local level, all the products and services that purchasers and engineers need as they move from research and development through pre-production and on into final product manufacture."
