The unremitting problems facing the electronic components market has caused Arrow Electronics to revise its fourth quarter results.
The company today reported a $1.02bn goodwill writedown, split between a $716.9m writedown at the electronic components business worldwide and $301.9m at its enterprise computing business. Arrow is also reporting a $10m write-off on the value of its investment in Marubun, a business established in 1999 in partnership with the Japanese Marubun Corporation.
