The growing East European distribution market will be the focus of an extended agreement between RF specialist Nordic Semiconductor and Ispringen, Germany-based distributor, Rutronik.
The deal adds 10 East European countries to the West Europe roster already covered by Rutronik. The new territories include Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary, Romania, Russia, Slovenia and Slovakia. Covered are all Nordic Semiconductor's Industrial, Scientific and Medical band transceivers and supporting solutions.
Rutronik has established a successful specialist Wireless Technologies division and says Reto Wachter, Nordic Semiconductor Line Manager at Rutronik, "We have penetration into a large number of customers and application sectors across Eastern Europe that we feel would benefit from Nordic's ultra low power wireless technology."
Geir Langeland, Nordic's Director of Sales and Marketing makes the very good point that though Rutronik is a sizable distributor they still take small to medium sized companies seriously in addition to serving prestigious blue chip giants.
