I received a press announcement today which cheered me up no end on a dreary old day in West Sussex because it is another harbinger of not just the spread of electronics technology, but how the roots are taking hold
It's a distribution agreement, though not a mega announcement. It is one of the first I have seen where a US company has appointed a Polish distributor, and I mean Polish-owned, not an affiliate of a bigger western company.
So a tip of the hat to Checksum which has announced that CPS-IEP (Chip Placement Solution Industrial Engineering Poland), and guys you must know you have to find a snappier name, will sell its device programming and in-circuit test systems in the Central European republic. The signing follows CPS-IEP's successful sale and installation of a Checksum Analyst tester into a manufacturer of lighting systems in Poland.
CPS-IEP will be targeting electronic manufacturing service companies.
