I like exhibitions. They are terrific networking events, and a chance to meet a whole group of people in one place, and some you would struggle to meet anywhere else.
This time next week electronica (it's spelt lower case by the organisers) will be under way in Munich. Aside from the business of the week, I do like to see some pizazz about the place too.
So if a red Corvette is something you have coveted for a while you should gallop around to the Digi-Key stand (Hall A5.576) for a chance to win one.
You might also want to visit Mouser Electronics(Hall B6.457). For their first foray into Europe, catalogue distributor Mouser is sharing a stand with TTI, its sister company. Mouser has a strategy to launch across Europe next year so you might want to get along to hear their story.
Another relatively fresh faced European operator is Nu Horizons (Hall A4.143). The New York-based distributor has grown organically and through acquisition. It has just launched the first in a series of video training modules which look worth having a conversation about.
There are at least a couple of new agreements to be announced at the show so I'll keep you posted about those from Munich next week.
