Avnet Memec has signed a pan-European distribution deal with Tundra Semiconductor, the system interconnect specialists.
Steve Haynes, President of Avnet Memec explained, "This is a perfect deal for us, it fits well with some of our existing suppliers and Tundra's products have a very clear customer base."
"There are synergies with our AMCC Power PC products and the IBM Microelectronics product range. We will be targeting Freescale sockets," he added. The agreement is effective immediately. Avnet Memec's team have been trained up on the Tundra parts, and Haynes says there are a number of reference designs available.
Richard Riker, Vice President Sales at Tundra likes the look of his new partner's technical service and support. "The addition of Avnet Memec offers another level of distribution for all customers in Europe, and will allow new customers to take advantage of Tundra's interconnect product portfolio."
