Independent distributor America II Electronics has established a manufacturing and test facility at it's St Petersburg, Florida headquarters.
The facility is managed by leading test house Premier Semiconductor Services.
"They have 6,000 square feet within our facility," explained Andy Groom, Managing Director of America II Europe Ltd. "They will test semiconductors we receive from the open market so that we can ensure a secure supply chain for our customers." Typical tests will be electrical testing, DC testing, XRF testing and advanced visual inspection.
If necessary fully functional testing can be undertaken by Premier at its Phoenix Arizona headquarters, though Groom reckons over 95% of testing will be done at America II.
