Long time Arrow executive and industry veteran Chris McAneny has joined Future Electronics as Business Development Director for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
McAneny left Arrow in April this year and has since been on gardening leave. The lawn mowed and leaves gathered he was able to start his new role on Monday this week. He sounds excited about the job. He points out Arrow has scale, is global and possesses a global IT infrastructure, an asset borne out of Future's pursuit of organic growth rather than acquisition.
McAneny brings a ton of experience to Future. He spent 15 years with Toshiba's semiconductor business, an era when the Japanese semiconductor companies surged to the top echelon of the world chip rankings. He followed that up with a 14-year stint at Arrow Electronics based at its North Europe headquarters in Bedford.
For many years he was director of marketing for North Europe. Earlier this year he was named as European Embedded Solutions Group Leader responsible for Arrow Embedded Systems businesses in all three European regions.
